Ankle-high barefoot sneakers Barebarics Element in All Black are a perfect blend of unheard-of design and priceless comfort. Shoes so perfect for the ever-changing weather of spring and autumn. The sneakers are made from premium Nubuck leather, characteristic for its water-repellent properties. Those who love an extraordinary style will surely appreciate the detail in the form of the motif of mountains above the embossed Barebarics logo. Easy to put on/off, and the comfortable collar on the heel, emphasize the heavenly feeling of walking in these shoes.

Materials used

Barebarics sneakers are produced using processes that minimize the impact on the environment.

The upper is made from Nubuck leather with a hydrophobic treatment that repels water very well
The lining of the shoe is made from Dermodry Coolmax® technical fabric, which enables constant moisture drainage
The sole is made from soft synthetic rubber with high wear-and-tear resistance
The removable insole comprises PU recycled material and microfiber, which provides excellent breathability and keeps your feet dry

Barefoot properties

Anatomic shape – The sneaker respects the shape of the feet. It creates roomy space for toes during movement, it prevents toes from being pressed or developing calluses
Material flexibility – The flexible sole enables necessary movement. The feet are not restricted and strengthen naturally
Zero-drop – The heel and front of the shoe are levelled. Thanks to this, the body posture and overall correction of the centre of gravity are improved
Adaptive sole – 4 mm thick (without protrusions) stimulates nerve endings. It strengthens balance, and awareness of the terrain and it protects the feet
Lightweight – The Barberics sneakers are lightweight and with no arch, which prevents leg fatigue and supports the correct walking stereotype

I love these shoes so much that I bought them in 3 different colors, though I am not wild about the yellow shoelaces on the walnut brown version and replaced them with tan laces. I also removed the insole, as it is too thick for me - I prefer considerably more ground feel. Because it's been very cold here, I've inserted a wool insole that doesn't take much vertical space, and my feet have stayed quite warm. If I'd left the original insole in, I'm fairly certain that would have maintained the warmth just as well. Other than that, these shoes are perfect. I have an extra-wide toe box and big toes that tend to lift, and they give my toes plenty of horizontal *and* vertical wiggle room, which I have a hard time finding in barefoot shoes; they are easy to pull on and take off; they are extremely comfortable even without the included insole; and they go great with both my winter jeans and wool skirts. They also seem to be quite well-made--Next year, I may have to buy the white version as well! Thank you for a great product, Barebarics!

I love these shoes. I'm about to order another pair. I can't speak to long-term use as I just received them, however they feel fantastic on my feet. A sale is on, so I am ordering at least one more pair. The shipping and duties to Canada are quite high, which is a negative, but that's life sometimes.
